My parents didn't have enough money to put me through college, so I spent the summer after senior year trying to raise as much money as I could.

I rode my bike to wealthy neighborhoods and knocked on doors asking if the owners had any odd jobs I could do for extra cash.

Some wanted me to mow their lawn or paint a room. Some just gave me money.
