za JulieFan78 : Hi Hugh, I wrote a more detailed answer but it seems to have got lost. I wrote that I have been suffering similar symptoms but only had to suffer a catheter for a fortnight - it was most uncomfortable. Take care

za ChuckH47 : Thanks David. My bladder was extremely enlarged so it takes 4 months for it to reduce to normal size. The good news is there is no cancer either in the prostate or the bladder. However the catheter makes it difficult to watch Julie. If you are speaking to her please give her my best wishes. Regards, Hugh

Hi Hugo, I 'm so sorry to hear that. I do know a bit of what you are going through, my prostate was stopping me from passing urine. They fitted a catheter but after a fortnight, I was determined that they would remove it. I still have a few problems but the reducing pills are getting me through.

za ChuckH47 : Hi David. I've had a few health issues. I was in hospital in February with prostate problems and since then I've been fitted with a catheter which is very uncomfortable. I'm hoping for an operation in May.

za ChuckH47 : Hi David. Many thanks for your kind words. Yes. All is good here. There are still about 12,000 houses without power but I was very fortunate to come away without damage. My neighbours on either side and behind me lost some roof tiles but I was okay. Hope you are well. Best wishes, hugh
